At a level of productive facilities, all of them are equipped with central computer to control temperature, ventilation and damp maintaining these parameters in a suitable constant measure that guarantees the best conditions to our boars. They are also equipped with a automatic supply system, as well as a automatic collection and extraction system (COLLECTIS). On the other side, a system of traceability with a microchip for each boar is used, to make an individual following of each boar history (family, illnesses, etc.)

At laboratory level, in Semen Cardona we work with an integrated, regulated dilution software, as well as the system CASA of image computing which allows to value the mobility and concentration of sperm in an objective way. In this sense, we also use contrast microscopes of phase to make the valuation of acrosoma (membrane) of sperm.

Semen Cardona has a laboratory of quality and packagingcontrol of climatised semen (18º). Seminal doses are automatically bottled in different systems like tubes, bags or the support Gedis, all of them individually labelled with barcodes.
